We’re Gytha Cooperative, your friendly front door to the indie comics scene.
Based in Calgary (Treaty 7), we’re a small press specializing in comics, zines, and art. Our mission is simple: commission and publish work that matters.We believe in integrity, respect, and social responsibility — not just as values, but as everyday practice. From the way we work with artists to the way we connect with readers, community comes first. Our most important job is being responsible to our community, our artists, our readers, and ourselves.We publish comics the way they were meant to unfold: chapter by chapter. Each issue of our magazines is an anthology, featuring new installments from ongoing series. When a creator completes enough chapters to tell a larger story, we collect their work into a standalone volume — giving readers the choice to enjoy stories both serialized in the magazine and as full-length books.
